Hawk News Team
Hawk News produces Country Meadow's virtual daily announcements. The announcements are pre-recorded and played at the beginning of the day in each classroom. Third, through fifth-grade students sign up for this afterschool activity and are selected based on their responses and a teacher recommendation. Every 9 weeks, 6-8 students are invited to join the team. Hawk News meets twice a week for one hour after school. Much of the work is completed virtually at home. Hawk News members rotate through the jobs of scriptwriter, news hosts, camera operator, director, and editor.
